Pav Bhaji


Ingredients:

  • 3 cups mixed vegetables (cauliflower, potatoes, peas, carrots, bell peppers), finely chopped
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2-3 tbsp Pav Bhaji Masala
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder (adjust to taste)
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Buttered and grilled pav (bread rolls)

Instructions:

  1. Boil Vegetables: Boil the chopped vegetables until tender. Mash them coarsely.
  2. Cook Bhaji: In a pan, heat butter. Add onions and sauté until translucent. Add ginger-garlic paste and tomatoes. Cook until tomatoes soften. Add the Pav Bhaji Masala, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Combine: Add the mashed vegetables to the pan. Mix well and cook for 10-15 minutes. Add water if needed to adjust consistency.
  4. Finish: Add lemon juice and garnish with chopped cilantro.
  5. Serve: Serve hot with buttered and grilled pav. Garnish with a dollop of butter and a sprinkle of Pav Bhaji Masala.

 

Tawa Pulao

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups cooked rice (preferably Basmati)
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup peas
  • 1/2 cup bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup carrots, chopped
  • 2-3 tbsp Pav Bhaji Masala
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp butter or oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Lemon juice to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare Vegetables: Heat butter or oil in a pan. Add onions and sauté until translucent. Add ginger-garlic paste and tomatoes, cook until soft.
  2. Add Vegetables and Spices: Add peas, bell pepper, and carrots. Cook until the vegetables are tender. Add the Pav Bhaji Masala and salt. Mix well.
  3. Add Rice: Add the cooked rice to the vegetable mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Cook: Cook for a few minutes until the rice is heated through and flavored with the masala.
  5. Garnish: Garnish with chopped cilantro and sprinkle some lemon juice.
  6. Serve: Serve hot as a quick and flavorful meal.
