Paneer Butter Masala

 

Ingredients:

  • 200g paneer, cut into cubes
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2-3 tbsp Paneer Butter Masala spice blend
  • 1/2 cup cream or full-fat yogurt
  • 1 tsp sugar (optional, to balance acidity)
  • Salt to taste
  • Kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves), crushed
  • Fresh coriander, chopped, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Sauté Onions: In a pan, melt butter and sauté onions until translucent.
  2. Add Ginger-Garlic Paste: Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté until aromatic.
  3. Add Tomato Puree: Add the tomato puree and cook until the raw smell goes away.
  4. Add Spices: Stir in the Paneer Butter Masala spice blend, salt, and sugar if using. Cook for a few minutes.
  5. Add Paneer: Add the paneer cubes and mix gently.
  6. Add Cream: Lower the heat and add cream or yogurt. Stir well and cook for a few more minutes.
  7. Finish with Kasuri Methi: Sprinkle crushed Kasuri methi and mix.
  8. Garnish: Garnish with fresh coriander.
  9. Serve: Serve hot with naan, roti, or rice.

Butter Masala Pasta

 

Ingredients:

  • 200g pasta (any type)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • 2 tbsp Paneer Butter Masala spice blend
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Grated cheese (optional)
  • Fresh basil or coriander for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Cook Pasta: Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Prepare Sauce: In a pan, melt butter. Add onions and sauté until soft. Add the tomato puree and cook for a few minutes.
  3. Add Spices: Add the Paneer Butter Masala spice blend and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add the cooked pasta to the sauce. Mix well to coat the pasta evenly.
  5. Add Cream: Add the cream and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Garnish: Garnish with grated cheese and fresh basil or coriander.

Serve: Serve hot as a fusion dish with a twist of Indian flavor.
